Top-10 finish in Gateway Dirt Nationals prelim
Blair Nothdurft made the trek to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon to compete in preliminary action for the fifth edition of the Gateway Dirt Nationals. With the 80-car field divided into two groups over two preliminary nights, Nothdurft followed up the fifth fastest time in his group with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Needing to place fourth or better in his B-Main, Blair scored a third-place finish, which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Nothdurft raced forward 10 spots in the 25-lapper to finish eighth. (Josh James Artwork)
Rolling off on the front row of his B-Main on Saturday for one last chance at the $30,000-to-win Gateway Dirt Nationals main event, Blair came one spot short of a transfer position with a third-place finish.
