Nothdurft races to 19th in Super Bowl of Racing finale at Golden Isles Speedway
Continuing his 2024 speedweeks in the Peach State, Blair Nothdurft was one of 51 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries amassed at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) on Thursday for the General Tire Super Bowl of Racing.
With a fifth-place finish in his heat race relegating him into a consolation race for another shot at the opener, Nothdurft fell short of a transfer position with a sixth-place outing.
Back at the 4/10-mile oval on Saturday after Friday’s program fell to wet weather, Blair secured his spot into the $25,000-to-win Super Bowl of Racing finale with a runner-up showing in his consolation race. Clawing forward three spots in talent-laden field, Nothdurft recorded a 19th-place outing in the 60-lap affair.
