Blair Nothdurft drives to ninth in DIRTcar Nationals prelim
With Monday’s opener postponed midway through the program, Blair Nothdurft returned to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Tuesday for the second round of the 53rd annual DIRTcar Nationals.
Following a seventh-place finish in his heat, Nothdurft missed a transfer spot by two cars in his B-Main with a fourth-place finish, ending his night.
On Wednesday with the 48-car field split into three groups, Blair retired on the fourth circuit of his preliminary feature after timing in ninth-fastest in his group.
After Thursday came to an early end with a 10th-place B-Main finish, Nothdurft squeezed into Friday’s $12,000-to-win World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series sanctioned feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Breaking into the top-10, Blair muscled forward four spots in the 40-lapper to register a ninth-place finish.
Saturday’s 53rd annual Federated DIRTcar Nationals finale fell to wet weather.
